Warrior Queen- 22ml EDP
Warrior Queen is a scent based on one of my paintings. The botanical portrait defines her and the perfume ingredients, but it is not a literal translation of the botanicals that are depicted. Instead the painting and the flowers suggested words, colors, physical qualities and moods, which were translated into ingredients and subsequently blended into perfume.
The sumptuous dark purple flower headdress with the delicate pink centers and the folded petals is overtly sexy and seductive. Her right eye is a passion flower rendered in hot green and purple. She is regal, open, accessible, and feminine with a dark strength. For the regal qualities a hint of Orris Root (Iris-in ancient times it was a symbol of power and majesty used as the original scepter). For the easy seductive quality, a blend of Sandalwood and Amber. The painting’s radiance dictated the bright and floral top note of Italian Bergamot. Coriander supports the citrus notes, bridging to the other sultry notes, and adding an interesting earthy tone to the other oils. Despite the mass of flowers represented by the Orris, Neroli and Lavender she seemed to be a bit of a bad ass. Cypriol alludes to burnt rubber and her overt sexuality. Oakmoss, Cocoa, Vetiver and Patchouli complete the dark earthy side of her personality. Regal and seductive. Light and Dark. Limited quantities.
Notes: Italian Bergamot, Coriander Seed, Lavender Abs, Neroli, Orris Root (Iris), Amber (Benzoin, Labdanum and Vanilla), Sandalwood, Oakmoss, Cypriol, Cocoa, Vetiver and Patchouli
